Danny Barnwell

After many years of working in the secular field, Danny surrendered to the ministry at the age of 53. He best describes himself as a bi-vocational pastor in the mode of the Apostle Paul, who continued supporting himself as a tentmaker while preaching the Gospel.

Danny served as a bi-vocational pastor at Cleo Springs Baptist Church in Cleo Springs, OK, from January 2002 through February of 2011. He was then called as the bi-vocational pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Newcastle, beginning in March 2011, where he continues to serve as head pastor.

Danny considers himself to be a pastor/teacher as his method of preaching is to teach God’s word verse by verse. He conveys the scripture in the full context of its meaning so that we may better apply it to our lives.
